The north west part of the city is often considered to be one of the best places to live in London thanks to the amount of space that’s often attached to properties here. Belsize Park

Belsize Park is in the borough of Camden, and can be found between affluent Primrose Hill and bustling Camden Town, so you get the best of both worlds. The name comes from the French bel assis, which means ‘well situated’ – very apt, given that Belsize Park is just 3.4 miles from central London. NW3 is one of the city’s most picturesque residential areas, with a high number of beautiful Victorian buildings.

It’s a favourite haunt of celebrities, who you’ll spot in the area’s many cafes and restaurants, as well as hanging out in its many green spaces. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Primrose Hill, and roughly a 10 minute walk to Hampstead Heath. Served by the Northern Line, it’s easy to get into the city centre, making Belsize Park the perfect choice for city workers who want a slice of village living.
 

Kentish Town

Kentish Town is another sought-after area in North West London. It once had a reputation for being a little on the shabby side, but thanks to some serious regeneration over the last few years, it’s now one of London’s coolest areas. Situated directly north of Camden Town, NW5 has gained a reputation for its bustling high street full of quirky independent shops, award-winning places to eat and drink, and a vibrant community feel. It’s a well-connected area, with the Northern Line taking you from Kentish Town Station to Leicester Square in just 11 minutes, with rail services to St Pancras, Faringdon, Luton and more also available. St John’s Wood

St John’s Wood is regularly ranked among the most expensive places to live in London – but don’t let that put you off! With a quiet community feel, it’s not an area which has much in the way of nightlife, and its affluence means many of the larger houses in the region are gated, providing extra security.
